My God My God…

So here is where I am going with this book…  Or at least just some thoughts….

Matt 27:46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi,[c] lama sabachthani?”—which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

If you want to know the key verse that shaped my faith and understanding of Christ on the cross this is it.   As I understand it God can not look upon sin, and at this point on the cross the weight of the worlds sin is resting on Jesus.  God turns his face…

When it comes to us, before we have His Grace, God can not look upon us because of our sin. (THANK GOD FOR GRACE)  Even though he knows our full potential in with Christ, he can not look upon us living up to that potential when we are sinning.  Christ on the cross removed the veil between us an God and gave us free access to Him, and by choosing Christ the veil of sin is removed from our heart and we are able to reflect our full potential in Him.

2 Cor 3:

1 6But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Words to ponder… Child, Vulnerable, Love, Heart, Wisdom… How are all of these uncovered, revealed and used for God’s glory?

  1. i love the 2 Cor 3:16-18 i read it when you first put it up, and it really stuck with me this last week..then reading it again today, all i can say is “thank you Lord”…one of the lies we face daily is that we are still behind the veil, and that we are not free..thats is something we have to work at, and the truth is..HE is here with us, and there is freedom. thanks bro, i really love this
